Alcohol and Cannabis Intake in Nursing Students

Background and objectives: Drug misuse among young people has become a major worldwide health concern. The present study analyzes substance misuse and its social and personal consequences in young university students. Materials and Methods: Screening of alcohol misuse was based on the Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT), while screening of substance-related risks and problems was performed with the Car, Relax, Alone, Forget, Friends, Trouble (CRAFFT) score. Results: The population was composed of nursing students at the University of Valencia (Valencia, Spain) (n = 185). Background and objectives: Drug abuse has become a major worldwide health concern among all age groups. The present study analyses substance misuse and its social and personal consequences using a population-based internet survey in Spain. Materials and Methods: Screening for drug abuse (of alcohol, marijuana/hashish and psychostimulants) and its related risks and problems was performed using the Car, Relax, Alone, Forget, Friends, Trouble (CRAFFT) score. This article provides various marketing concepts and orientation which were aimed at bringing positive and desired social effects for business activities. Nevertheless, in authors view, the theory does not reflect the reality of business practices. Therefore, a number of companies which are making use of aggressive marketing but in fact ignore the consumer needs were presented. This includes, among other things, the following markets: food, electronic one and even pharmaceutical. It seems that this is caused by monopolization process of global economy.
Can Information about Pandemics Increase Negative Attitudes toward Foreign Groups? A Case of COVID-19 Outbreak

Pathogen threat can translate into a willingness to distance oneself from others on a psychological level. Building on this notion, we predicted that the ongoing coronavirus pandemic can affect attitudes toward foreign nationalities. We explored the intergroup consequences of the current epidemiological situation in two studies involving a total of 652 participants. In correlational Study 1, we showed a positive relationship between media exposure in the United Kingdom (UK) and in Poland, and prejudice to four foreign nationalities. We współczesnym dyskursie publicznym dotyczącym II wojny światowej rzadko wspomina się o masowych powojennych ruchach ludności w Europie, o przesiedleniach Polaków z Kresów Wschodnich II Rzeczypospolitej, wysiedleniach Niemców i przesiedleniach ludności ukraińskiej. Procesy „wymuszonej mobilności, jak i wymuszonej osiadłości”, stanowiące codzienność tamtych lat zaowocowały upadkiem wielu lokalnych mikroświatów, powstaniem nowych ojczyzn, nowych społeczności i nowych tożsamości.
